Hi
I was thinking of helping my dad out with removing some wall panels in a unused commercial building to be able to replace with plasterboard...however im worried that i will be removing asbestos...he said it isnt asbestos and that it is plasterboard, so im wondering what is the difference in appearance so i know for sure it isnt asbetsos?? ...he broke some of it to show it is plasterboard and it did look like plasterboard (chunks of white chalf like stuff) but i want to be sure...do they look different when broken???...also, we were going to take down the panels by taking out the screws and then moving the whole panels somewhere else, so it wont be breaking the boards but maybe the removing of the screws will release fibres in the air or something...im planning to wear a face mask (one of those white ones they wore during flu season) so am i at risk of any asbestos related illnesses if it is absetos and i do this kind of removing for one day (it will probably be for a few hours of work)...all answers are appreciated
